Psalm 139 In the Depths and Under the Stars- There is No where you can Hide from God! ***
Have you ever felt small, or perhaps even invisible?
In this devotion, we explore the breathtaking extremes of God’s creation, from the silent cities of coral beneath the ocean to spiral galaxies burning millions of light-years away. Whether descending into the depths or standing beneath a sky stitched with stars, one truth remains steady and unshaken: we are never alone.
As both a scuba instructor and an astrophotographer, I have learned that wonder works in every direction. Downward into quiet pressure and drifting light. Upward into vastness and ancient fire. In both places, the same Presence meets the human heart. The same Creator watches, knows, and draws near.
Together, we dive into Psalm 139:1–18 and discover why intimacy with God begins where pretending ends. We reflect on how God tracks our lives with greater care than any telescope tracks the heavens, why every life is a custom design rather than a cosmic accident, and how the Architect of the universe is also the Lover of the soul who has searched us and known us completely.
Supported by the witness of Psalm 19 and the promise of Romans 8, this message gently dismantles the illusion of isolation and replaces it with the assurance of divine attention and purpose.
If God’s thoughts outnumber the grains of sand, what might He be thinking about you in this very moment?
This devotional invites honest reflection, surrendered trust, and renewed wonder at the God who sees every hidden corner and still calls us beloved.
Until next time — read your Bible, pray, and practice His presence.
May the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
