Our Purpose

Welcome! This site is a space where Scripture, reflection, and the beauty of God’s creation come together. Here, you’ll find weekly devotionals designed to help you pause, look up, and engage with God’s Word in fresh and meaningful ways. Each devotional may feature one or more Scripture passages, paired with original astrophotography to inspire awe and reflection on His glory.

In addition to the devotionals, this site showcases a collection of astrophotography images captured by me personally, under the night sky. Whether you enjoy them for their beauty or as art, these images are offered as a way to experience God’s handiwork in new and tangible ways.

Each week, we also release a YouTube video version of the devotional, offering another way to engage with the Scripture and reflections. Subscribe to our channel to get the most up-to-date devotionals and accompanying videos each week.

About the Weekly Devotionals

A church newsletter titled 'Forever Light Ministries' with a section on how Christians should introduce themselves, a summary about humility and gratitude, and a 'Picture of the Week' featuring the Cygnus Loop, also known as the Veil Nebula, a supernova remnant in space, with an image of the nebula in space.

Each week, we pause beneath the same stars that God spoke into being — letting His Word and creation speak together. Every devotional features one of my own astrophotography images paired with a Scripture focus for the week. Some weeks highlight a single verse, while others draw from multiple passages that illuminate a shared theme or truth.

Throughout the week, you’ll be invited to engage with these Scriptures in a variety of ways — through reflection, study, prayer, and personal application. Prompts, meditations, and creative exercises are included to help you revisit the passages from fresh perspectives each day.

The goal is not to move quickly through the text, but to dwell in it — allowing God’s Word and the beauty of His creation to draw your heart into deeper wonder, worship, and awareness of His presence. As you linger with each passage, take time to notice how the message unfolds and connects with your own experiences. Let the rhythms of Scripture shape your days, guiding your thoughts, prayers, and actions. Whether you spend a few quiet minutes in the morning or return to the same verse beneath a starlit sky, may each devotional become a sacred pause — a reminder that God is both infinitely vast and intimately near, speaking through His Word and through the world He has made.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
