Located within the constellation Auriga, the Tadpole Nebula lies approximately 12,400 light-years from Earth. This striking region of ionized hydrogen gas spans over 100 light-years across, shaped and sculpted by powerful stellar winds streaming from the nearby open star cluster NGC 1893.
This wide-field image also captures several neighboring deep-sky wonders, including IC 405 (the Flaming Star Nebula), SH2-232 (the Great Pumpkin Nebula), and NGC 1931 (the Fly Nebula), each contributing to the rich and dynamic beauty of this celestial region.
