Moon - Clavius Crater

The prominent crater in the center of the image is Clavius on the Moon.

Clavius is one of the largest and most recognizable craters on the Moon’s southern highlands. It’s famous for the curving chain of progressively smaller craters inside it, which is a key feature in the image. That arc— is often used as a reference point for lunar observers.
