Thor's Helmet Nebula (NGC 2359) is a stunning emission nebula in the constellation Canis Major, located approximately 12,000–15,000 light-years away. Spanning about 30 light-years, its iconic, winged-helmet shape is carved by fierce winds from a central, rapidly evolving Wolf-Rayet star (WR7), which is in a pre-supernova stage.
